 Introduction

Today we are going to talk about "How to recover your oracle cloud account". As I promised before, this is the method for recovering your hacked cloud account. I saw a lot of people are suffering from this issue. So please share this video with them as helping. Also you can use this method on every issue in your oracle cloud account. You can also use this method in banned oracle cloud accounts. But I didn't try yet this method on banned oracle cloud accounts. This is 100% working method. Special thing about this method is this works on both free users and paid users.

Things We Do

Now let's talk about what things we do in this post.

  1. After your oracle cloud account was hacked, things you need to do
  2. Creating oracle support account
  3. Creating "SR"
  4. Chatting with oracle support agent
  5. Adding created user to administrators group and removing other users
  6. Important things need to know

Let's start our work.

After Your Oracle Cloud Account Was Hacked, Things You Need To Do

First you need to disable payments from oracle cloud in your credit card that you added to your oracle cloud account. You can do it using calling to your bank. Next thing is if you used any accounts in your vps or your rdp, you need to change passwords of them and kill sessions of them because hacker can access to your vps or rdp. If you use their passwords on other accounts, you also need to change them. After doing these, use this method.

Creating Oracle Support Account

Now we are going to create "Oracle Support" account. So first open "Instructions.txt" file in extracted folder using your text editor. Now copy "Create Oracle Support Account" link. Go to browser and go to copied link. Now we need to fill the form. Use same details that you used when creating your oracle cloud account. This is important. Type same email address that you created your oracle cloud account. Type any password matching to password requirements. Type password again. Next choose your country. Type your first name. Type your last name. Type your job title. Type your phone number. Type any name. Type your address. Type your city. Type your "zip/postal code". Click on "Create Account" button. Now go back to your email inbox. You can see email like this. Click on "Verify Email Address" button to verify your account. After verifying your account, let's go to next step.

Creating "SR"

Now we need to create "SR". "SR" mean service request. For creating "SR", we need to use oracle support account. So let's login to oracle support account. Copy "Login Link" in "Instructions.txt" file. Now go to your browser and go to copied link. Now type your oracle support account's email and password. Click on "Sign In". Now you are in "My Oracle Support" dashboard. Click on "Service Requests" tab. Click on "Create Non-technical SR" button. Now we are in "Creating SR". So we need to provide information about our issue. You must need to know this. When providing information, don't tell "Your account is hacked" or "Banned". Only tell things that you can see. I will explain more about this while providing information. I mainly talk about this issue on this video. But I will tell "How to use this method on other issues". Now we need to provide summary of problem. This is the summary that I used for this issue. If your issue doesn't match this, use own one. Now we need to choose "Problem Type". Click on "Choose Problem Type" button. These are categories. "Oracle Cloud (Paas)" is not related to us .If you can't find category for your issue, use category I showing. So click on "Login/Administration/Profile Issues". Now click on "Login/Access Issue". Now click on "Next" button. Now we need to provide description of our problem. This is the description that I used in this issue. I use "My oracle cloud account's email and password was changed by someone" instead of "My oracle cloud account was hacked". This is the thing that I told before. I give you another example. See this issue. For this issue, use "It shows that 'You don't have permission to view these resources in this compartment. Try another compartment or contact your administrator for help' " instead of "My oracle cloud account was banned". Let's continue our work. Type your description here. Click on "Continue" button. Click on "My Oracle Support Login Errors". Click on "None of the above". Now click on "Next". You can upload any file related to your issue. So I upload this screenshot. Now click on "Attach" button. Click on "Choose File" button. Now choose your file. If you want, you can type description of this file in "Note" field. Click on "Attach File" button. You can see "Successful" message. Now click on "Next" button. Now click on "Submit" button. "Creating 'SR' " process is over. So let's go to next step.

Chatting With Oracle Support Agent

After clicking on "Submit" button, you will be automatically redirected to page like this. If not, go back to "Service Requests" tab. You can see your service requests that you created here. So click on it. This is oracle support chat room. In here, you can chat with "Oracle Support Agent" and fix your issue. These three messages contains we entered information before. You can see this message after some time. This message is from "Oracle Support". They only reply to your messages in working hours. My time zone is "GMT +05.30". Now I tell "How to type messages and upload files in chat". Click on "Add Update" button to type messages. Type your message in box and click on "Post Update" button to send message. Click on "Add Attachment" button to upload file. You can add file as before. Click on "Attach File" to send file. This is my chat history. You can understand "How to chat with them" from this. Now I talk about this message because this is bit difficult to understand. This message says "Send email containing these things from email address that you use to create your oracle cloud account, to another email address that you have". Reason for doing this is we need to add new user to your oracle cloud account. Now I show you "How to do this". First open "Email.txt" file in your extracted folder using text editor. Now we need to fill some details here. Type your name here. Type your other email address here. This is new email address of your oracle cloud account. Now you need to type your "SR" number here. You can find it on top of your "oracle support chat room". Now you need to type your "oracle cloud account's name" here. This is what you type here when you are going to log into your oracle cloud account. Now we filled all things. So copy all. Now go to your email address that you use to create oracle cloud account. Now we need to send email. Type your other email address on "To" field. No need to type anything in "Subject" field. Paste copied texts in "Compose Email" field. Now click on "Send" icon to send email. Now go to your other email address and take screenshot of email that you sent. Make sure to visible "From" and "To" Fields. I covered some fields because I show this on video. But when you do this, don't cover anything. I also sent without covering anything. Now we need to convert this screenshot to "pdf" file. You can easily do this. Go to "Print" option and choose "Save as pdf" option and save. Now you need to upload this "pdf" file to oracle support chat. You can do this as I showed before. After some time, you will receive this message and email to your other email address. This is the email that you are waiting for. Click on "Activate Your Account" button to set up new password. After setting up password, you can log into your oracle cloud account using your new email and password. There are some works to do after logging to your oracle cloud account. We will talk about these on next topics.

Adding Created User To "Administrators" Group And Removing Other Users

Click on "Profile" icon. Click on "Identity Domain (Default)". Click on "Users". You can see user that contains your new email address. Click on it. You need to add this user to "Administrators" group. So scroll down. Click on "Assign User To Groups" button. Choose "Administrators" group and click on "Assign User" button. I don't do it in video because this is test account. Go back to "Users" page. Now you must remove other users. This also includes your old user. After removing them, there must be only available the new user. This is "How to delete user". Click on the three dots on user.

Important Things Need To Know

When you creating github repository, don't make it as "Public Github Repository". Make it as "Private Github Repository". Next thing is don't set your github repository to public. I uploaded video about "How to run script using private github repository". I put that video link in description. Next thing is after your vps is created, delete "API key" from your oracle cloud account and delete github repository. Okay I think I told everything that you need to know.
